Define the video task
Start with the information your FPV receiving setup or selected processing workflow needs. Specify the scene, required image mode, pilot display and any recording or onboard-processing requirement. Resolution alone is not an acceptance criterion.
Review the exact output and receiver
Confirm the documented video output, image format, frame rate and receiving device. Electrical levels, connector orientation, pinout, cable and software dependencies belong in the same review. Do not infer compatibility from a connector or a protocol name.
Measure at the relevant handoff
A sensor, module, link and display can have different measurement boundaries. Record the configuration and conditions with any delay or throughput result. Check the delivered image under the intended scene, motion, load and receiving workflow.
Check installation and power
Use the selected module drawing and approved electrical specification to review camera position, lens clearance, mounting space, cabling and supply. Any change in the installed arrangement should be assessed for its effect on the accepted video configuration.
Separate optional processing functions
If an exact model has documented onboard AI, identify its inputs, camera configuration, firmware and result interface. An input module does not automatically contain that function. Neither type replaces the customer flight controller, pilot workflow or final aircraft validation.
Prepare the sample acceptance record
Record module revision, lens, camera settings, power, cable, receiver, display and software with the test. Define the observation that constitutes a pass or a failure. Send the configuration and unresolved questions to Thyraon before selecting the next evaluation step.
